Item Description

This listing is for ONE Bobbed Hammer. Here is a factory bodyguard hammer to fit any Smith & Wesson J Frame Bodyguard Revolver that hammer nose ignition. That leaves two models, the model 38 Airweight Bodyguard, and model 49 steel frame bodyguard. It will NOT fit any models made after about 2002 that use floating firing pin ignition, for reasons that ought to be obvious to anyone who knows a revolver butt from a hole in the ground. Manufacturer is Smith & Wesson of Springfield, MA. Construction is milled carbon steel, not MIM. Type is .240 service size, with hammer nose ignition. It is complete with hammer nose, rivet, sear, sear spring, stirrup, and stirrup pin, as the photos show. Finish is entirely case colored body, with blued sear and hammer nose. This hammer came to us from a department armorer. We estimate it was manufactured in the mid 1980s. Any wear or toning comes from years of storage. We’re offering the Bodyguard Hammer in the photos for only $ 59.00.
