Here is an original factory Parts List, Instructions for Use, Maintenance, and specifications manual for the 9mm Automatic Pistol, Double Action, numbered model No. 659. Manufacturer and printer is Smith & Wesson of Springfield, MA. It is dated 8 82, see photos. Construction is a single 11 x 14 sheet folded in hex fashion, down to 3 3/4 by 7 dimensions for placement into a two piece blue box, such as the Smith & Wesson 459 and 559 Pistols were shipped in from the time production began in 1982 until it ended in 1988. Printing is black ink on white paper. It has Bangor Punta and the company’s street address on the back sheet or cover. Surface detractions are moderate, principally age toning on the upper third of the obverse page. Lucky owners of model 659 Autos who simply want instructions can download or print free from smith-wesson com, or watch videos. Owners, however, of model 659s, or 459s, or even 559s, in excellent condition, will find that this manual enhances its collectability.
