Exact revolver in pics. .38 Chief’s Special Airweight, model 37 no suffix. 651000 range serial = 1968 Bangor Punta. Traditional double / single action revolver with hammer block. Steel barrel, cylinder and parts in an alloy frame metal with walnut grips. J square frame. 5 rounds .38 Special, not for +P. 2 inch tapered barrel, pinned into the frame. .240 serrated trigger & hammer. 6 1/4 length x 4 1/4 height. 1.31 cylinder dia. 13 3/4 ounces empty. 2 to 5 degrees hammer travel double action; 15 single. 3 5/8 lb. single pull. No lateral play. .003 forcing cone gap. Minimal carbon, we estimate fired fewer than 100 rounds. Bright, clean chambers & bore. Domicile was Ramey Air Force Base jurisdiction, Cold War service against castro & cartels. Polished surface blue, and black anodized alloy, casehardened hammer, trigger, oil finish magna service grips. Surface detractions are moderate, principally freckling on the blue, and edge and grip wear. We rate this 2 inch Chief as Very Good, 80 %  vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice.  Transferable to C&R Holders and California Civilians due to its age and federal C&R Status.
