Barrel marking left side reads Made in New Haven, Conn., U.S. of America / Winchester Proof Steel – Winchester / Trade Mark – Model 12- 12 ga. – 2 3/4 Cham / Full. Barrel’s receiver extension and receiver itself bear matching numbers.30 inch barrel, .6945 tapered muzzle full choke, 2 3/4 shells only. Sight is Vent Rib marked Simmons Gun Specialties Inc., Kansas City, MO, so pre-1965. 12 post, .322 @ .27 inch high mid barrel. Drop is 1 3/8 to 2 1/4, mild 1/2 inch right hand cast. LOP 14 1/16. 7 lb. pull .250 smooth trigger; correct WRA butt plate. 7 pounds 13 ounces; 49 1/4 overall length. Original forend with correct serrations & smooth field butt stock. Finish is Simmons Polished surface blued with matte mag tube; polished chrome bolt &shell carrier; semi gloss wood finish. Minimal surface detractions, only two small residual mars lower left side buttstock, and faint edge wear on the magazine tube. We rate Excellent, professional Simmons refinish, but photos ought to suffice.
