              This listing is for the ONE book, the photo specimen or its identical mate. Perhaps more accurately, it is a bound assemblage of Xeroxed copies for internal use in the Tennessee National Guard under the McWherter Administration in about 1988 or 1989. The Office of the Adjutantant General, some 30 – 35 years ago, duplicated its copy of Canfield’s First Edition book A Collector’s Guide to the M1 Garand and the M1 Carbine for internal departmental use. By our poor memory, the State Arsenal still had a few Carbines and Garands in service in the late 1980s, hence the replication of the document. Contents are 157 numbered pages of 8 1/2 by 11 sheets, copied correctly on both sides, inside a 10 1/2 by 11 3/4 State Binder. Copies are on plain manila type paper, but with pale green tint cover copies. Note that the ink bled onto the yellow covers’ insides. Copies themselves are otherwise clear and legible. Owners of Garands and Carbines who want to pursue their firearms history should get an original copy of Bruce Canfield’s book, which is widely available for $30 - $40 vicinity, available even on this venue. Shoppers, however, who are interested in Tennessee Militaria, Memorabilia, and State History, will find this set of copies eminently collectable in its own right.
