Taurus .38 model 856 Matte Blue 3” Walnut Colt Detective style Grips Night Sight Revolver No Lock

Here is our own unique offering of an optimal .38 Revolver. This is Taurus’s model 856, reminiscent of the best of the Colt Diamondback and Smith & Wesson Chief’s Special. Manufacturer was Forjas Taurus of Porto Alegre Brazil, and Importer and warrantor is Taurus International of Bainbridge, GA. Tradition double and single action snub pocket revolver. Construction is entirely steel metal; Grips are 1980s production Sile brand Italian Walnut, combat banana style.  Barrel is one piece 3 inch full lug, six groove right hand 1:18.75 rifling. Front sight is red insert luminous night sight. Hammer is.340 serrated spur, with matching .315 smooth trigger. Cylinder capacity is 6 rounds of .38 Smith & Wesson Special caliber ammunition, including +P loads, which neither the Smith &Wesson Airweights not Colt Lightweights of the 1970s and 80s would digest. Ignition is flat faced hammer against floating firing pin. The Taurus 856 has a transfer bar internal safety device. It does Not have a hammer lock like its predecessors from the two previous decades, reestablishing its kinship to Vietnam Era snubs. Weight empty is 23 ounces. Finish is entirely matte blue. Double action trigger pull is consistent 10 pounds vicinity, with 7 pound vicinity crisp single action pull. Each 856 comes in its factory box with cylinder protector, hang tag, protective wrapper, warning flyer, coupons, instruction manual, Warranty flyer, and cable lock.  Not transferable to civilian residents of Massachusetts.
