Syracuse Knife Co Imitation Pearl Aesco Advertising Knife Exc 1950s PK228
OUR # PK228

Item Description

We estimate this fine little advertising knife to date from the late 1950s, perhaps from 1957 when AESCO electronics was taken over by its still current proprietary family. Akron Radion & TV Company was founded in the Ohio City by that name in 1949; and the business is still thriving under its AESCO name that it adopted in 1954. This knife was manufactured in New York by Syracuse Knife Company, a very attractively aged Imitation Pearl that has no surface detractions other than light normal aging. Dark veiny- toning affects 10 percent or less of the blade surfaces, and this little knife shows little or no evidence of ever having been sharpened. The NOrmandy 1-1183 designates the original firm’s phone number. Overall length closed is 3 1/8 inches, and the main spear pattern blade measures 2 inches from heel to point.
