Exact revolver in photos. .38 Centennial Airweight, model 42, no suffix. L3700 range serial = 1973. Double action only pocket revolver with lemon squeeze type grip safety. Steel barrel, cylinder, internal parts in an alloy frame. Original walnut factory grips. 5 rounds .38 Special, no +P. 2 inch barrel pinned into frame, fixed sights. .237 serrated trigger, 11 pound pull. Correct alignment, no lateral play. 6 1/4 in. length; 4 1/4 height; 1.3 cyl. dia. 15 ounces empty. Minimal carbon, we estimate fired fewer than 50 times. Home domicile was Ramey Air Force Base jurisdiction, later Borinquen Air Station, Cold War era against castro & cartels. Finish is polished surface steel and gloss black anodized.
