Exact revolver in pics. .38 Chief’s Special Airweight, model 37 no suffix. AAS serial prefix = 1982 Bangor Punta. Traditional double / single action revolver with hammer block. Steel barrel, cylinder and parts in an alloy frame metal with walnut grips. J round frame. 5 rounds .38 Special, not for +P. 2 inch tapered barrel, threaded into the frame but not pinned. .240 serrated trigger & hammer. 5 3/4 length x 4 1/4 height. 1.31 cylinder dia. 14 1/2 ounces empty. 2 to 3 degrees hammer travel double action; 15 single. 4 lb. single pull. No lateral play. .004 forcing cone gap. Minimal carbon, we estimate fired fewer than 100 rounds. Bright, clean chambers & bore. Domicile was Borinquen Air Station jurisdiction, Cold War service against castro & cartels. Polished surface blue, and black anodized alloy, casehardened hammer, trigger, oil finish magna service grips. Minimal surface detractions, principally some edge wear.
