Six piece, serrated side, folded steel body with 5 spot welds fore and aft. Release ridge and spacer and mount areas are all original parts spot welded into place. Spring, floorplate, and inner plate are all steel; only the cartridge follower is black polymer. Each magazine holds 30 rounds of 7.62 x 39 caliber ammunition. Body finish is PTFE Teflon base coating, semi gloss black. Weight empty is 14 ounces, so these magazines will simply not ship First Class. Rifle operators should leave the rifle’s bolt locked open to install, and be sure to engage the front section of the magazine with the rifle, and twist it firmly into place, especially with Chinese SKS rifles.
