This listing is for ONE Thumbpiece. From a local Memphis Armorer collection comes this thumb piece, or thumb latch, and its nut to fit most Smith & Wesson small frame blue J size Revolvers, including models 30, 31, 33, 34, 36, 37, 38, 40, 42, and 49; and their 3 prefix air lites. Manufacturer was Smith & Wesson of Springfield, MA. Factory number was 22244 for the thumb piece, and 05071B for its nut. Construction is one piece cast steel. Finish is matte blue. Surface detractions are minimal, only faint edge wear. We rate it as Excellent Condition, 90 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. This piece is period correct for any Smith & Wesson J Frame revolver manufactured from the mid 1960s up until the mid 2000s, when beveled MIM thumb pieces began appearing. It will not fit a K, L, or N frame revolver, will not fit any models other than the ones we have named above. This piece is long discontinued. We’re offering it and its nut, all for only $ 33.00.
