This listing is for the exact document in the photos. Here is an original factory Instructions for Use, Parts List, Maintenance, and specifications manual for the .45 Colt Target Revolver, numbered model 25-5. Manufacturer and printer is Smith & Wesson of Springfield, MA. Construction is a single 11 x 14 sheet folded in hex fashion, down to 3 3/4 by 7 dimensions for placement into a two piece blue box, such as Smith & Wesson Revolvers were shipped in from the 1960s until the 1980s. Printing is black ink on white paper. This particular manual had to be printed some time in the late 1970s to early 1980s, since it is stamped Bangor Punta, and has the P.O. Box address on its front. The 05-01-0177 number on the back cover possibly indicates a date, 1977 at the earliest. Surface detractions are minimal, only faint to moderate age toning. Lucky owners of model 25-5 Revolvers who simply want instructions can download or print free from smith-wesson com, or watch videos. Owners, however, of model 25s in excellent condition, will find that this manual enhances its collectability.
