This listing is for ONE Blue Smith & Wesson Factory Box. Here is what is presently Smith & Wesson’s smallest blue plastic foam padded handgun box or Case, the blue plastic box that made its debut around 1996, and evolved to its present configuration around 2010. Manufacturer is Smith & Wesson of Springfield, MA, and its subcontractors. Construction is medium thickness plastic, two piece body with integral molded full length hinge. Locking clasps are removable gray plastic. Handle portion has a padlock aperture for medium security. Inner lining is gray foam, thick lower and thinner upper lining with pouch compartment behind it. External dimensions are 12.5 inches x 8 inches x 3 inches, the right size for revolvers and automatics with barrel lengths up to 6 inches. Interior width only allows for 6 1/2 inches of height, from butt to rear sight top. Body coloration is Royal blue, with Smith & Wesson brand name and stylized logo on the lid. Surface detractions are minimal, principally oil stain to the interior foam, and erasure of the labels’ serial numbers.
