This listing is for ONE Black Smith & Wesson Factory Box. Here is what is presently Smith & Wesson’s large sized plastic foam padded handgun box or Case, the back plastic box that issued with M&P Series LE Pistols in the late 2000 decade. Manufacturer is Smith & Wesson of Springfield, MA, and its subcontractors. Construction is medium thickness plastic, two piece body with integral molded full length hinge. Locking clasps are removable gray plastic. Handle portion has a padlock aperture for medium security. Inner lining is gray foam, thick lower and thinner upper lining with pouch compartment behind it. External dimensions are 15 inches x 9 1/2 inches x 3 1/2 inches, the right size for revolvers and automatics with barrel lengths up to 10 inches. Interior width only allows for 7 inches of height, from butt to rear sight top, and overall length of up to 13 inches. Body coloration is black, with Smith & Wesson brand name and stylized logo on the lid. No instruction manual, lock, firearm, magazine, or any other items are included, just the box and its lining material. These particular boxes issued in about 2012 to an agency in Minnesota. Surface detractions are minimal, principally oil residue on the foam, and occasional tears. Each has a correct factory overlabel from an M&P 9. We have the parents listed on our home venue. We rate their boxes, as well as their pistols, as Very Good, perhaps even Excellent Condition, but photos ought to suffice.
