Steel barrel, cylinder and parts in an alloy frame metal with walnut grips. J square frame. 5 rounds .38 Special, not for +P. 2 inch tapered barrel, pinned into the frame. .240 serrated trigger & hammer. 6 1/4 length x 4 1/4 height. 1.31 cylinder dia. 13 3/8 ounces empty. 2 degrees hammer travel double action; 10 single. 4 lb. single pull. No lateral play. .008 forcing cone gap. Minimal carbon, we estimate fired fewer than 100 rounds. Bright, clean chambers & bore. Domicile was Borinquen Air Station jurisdiction, Cold War service against castro & cartels. Polished surface blue, and black anodized alloy, casehardened hammer, trigger, oil finish magna service grips. Note the agency marking on the right side plate, on one cylinder chamber, and underneath the frame top strap. Barrel and cylinder finish are down to Gun Metal Gray. The frame, yoke, thumb latch, trigger, and hammer, however, are all close to 90% finishwise. Surface detractions, then, are extensive.
