Steel metal with walnut grips. J frame square butt. 5 rounds .38 Special, not designed for +P. Barrel is 3 inch heavy, pinned into the frame. Serrated blade front with fixed notch rear sights..240 serrated trigger, with matching hammer. 1.31 inches cylinder thickness; 6 1/2 in length; 4 1/4 in height; weight 20 ounces empty. 3 to 5degrees hammer travel on double action; Single action pulls at 3 1/2 pounds with 20 degrees travel. No lateral cylinder play. .006 forcing cone gap. Grips are period correct Jay Scott smooth walnut. Minimal carbon deposits; we estimate revolver was fired fewer than 100 times. Bore and cylinder are bright and clean. Finish is polished surface blued, matte sight area, and case colored trigger & hammer. Service domicile was Borinquen Air Station jurisdiction, guarding against Castro and the Cartels. Surface detractions are moderate to extensive, principally finish freckling and hammer / trigger wear. We rate it as Very Good, 75 to 80% vicinity, but photos ought to suffice. No CA MA civilians.
