Exact revolver. Smith & Wesson .38 Military & Police, numbered model 10, 8th Engineering Change. 4D Prefix = 1979Bangor Punta. Traditional double and single action K medium square frame revolver. Steel metal with factory Goncalo service grips. 6 rounds .38 Special caliber, OK for +P loads. Barrel is 4 inch Heavy type, pinned into the frame. Sights are serrated front with fixed notch rear. 265 serrated face trigger, with matching hammer. 1.46 inches cylinder thickness; 9 in length; 4 3/4 in height; weight 29 ounces empty. 10 degrees hammer travel Double Action; 25 Single Action with 4 3/4pound SA pull.  No lateral cylinder play. Forcing cone gap measures .002.Minimal carbon. Domicile was the Caribbean Jurisdiction of Borinquen Air Station, on guard against castro and the cartels. We estimate fired fewer than 100 times. Bore and cylinder chambers are all bright and clean. Finish is polished surface original factory blued, with matte finish sight upper and with color casehardened trigger and hammer. Grips are original semi gloss oil finish. Surface detractions are minimal, principally faint lateral muzzle area wear. We rate this 4 inch 10 as Excellent, 90%  vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice. No CA MA civilians.
