For sale is the exactSmith & Wesson .38 Military & Police, numbered model 10, 5th Engineering Change Revolver in the photos. D89000 range serial = 1968 Bangor Punta. Traditional double and single action swingout revolver, hammer nose ignition with transfer bar. Steel metal & walnut service grips. Round butt grip frame. 6 rounds .38 Special capacity, OK for +P. Barrel is 2 inch standard tapered, pinned into the frame. Sights are blade front and fixed rear. Trigger is .265 serrated, with matching hammer. 1.46 inches cylinder thickness; 7 inches overall length; 4 3/4inches height; weight 28.4 ounces empty. 11 lb Double Action with 2 to 5 degrees hammer travel; 20 degrees single action with 3 1/2 pound pull. Negligible lateral play. Forcing cone gap measures .006. Carbon deposits and blast effect are minimal. Domicile was the Caribbean Home Jurisdiction of Ramey Air Force Base, on guard against Castro’s Communists and Cartels. We estimate fired fewer than 200 times. Bore and cylinder chambers are all bright and clean. Finish is polished surface nickel plated steel, with matte sight area, and color casehardened trigger and hammer. Grips are original factory coded.  Surface detractions are moderate to extensive, principally finish weakness, freckling on the grip frame. We rate Good, perhaps Very Good, 70 to 75 % vicinity, but photos ought to suffice.. Transferable to eligible California civilians, and C&R Holders. Add a T Adapter only $28.00.
