            This listing is for the exact Smith & Wesson .357 Combat Magnum Stainless, numbered model 66, Fourth Engineering Change Revolver in photos. CAC serial prefix = 1996 Tomkins.  Traditional double and single action, medium frame revolverwith hammer block. Steel metal. 6 rounds .38 Special or .357 Magnum ammo. 2 1/2 inch Heavy one piece barrel. Serrated red ramp front sight with later rounded adjustable rear sight over a drilled frame. Ignition is hammer nose type, note the replacement, but factory, satin chrome hammer nose..312 smooth faced trigger, with .375 semi target hammer. Correct Pachmayr Compac cgrips. 1.449 cylinder diameter; 7 1/2 inches length by 5 inches height. Weight empty 35 ounces. Finish is original brushed stainless steel, with case colored hammer and trigger. This 66 served in the Caribbean, in Borinquen Air Station’s jurisdiction against Castro as a Cold Warrior, and against the Cartels as Drug Warrior. Note the airman’s initials inscribed modestly at the bottom of the side plate. Apart from that, surface detractions are moderate, principally toning to the hammer and trigger. We rate this 66 as Very Good Condition, Agency Marked, close to Excellent, 85 to 90 %  vicinity, but photos ought to suffice. We estimate it was fired fewer than 200 times. Blast effect and carbon deposits are moderate. Bore and cylinder chambers are all bright and clean. On double action, hammer travels 5 degrees; fully 25 on single action with 4 1/2pound SA pull. Forcing cone gap is .010. No lateral play. No CA MA Civilians.
