 Exact revolver in photos is a Smith & Wesson .357 Combat Magnum Stainless, numbered model 66, First Engineering Change. 89K serial number prefix = 1981 Bangor Punta.Traditional double and single action, medium frame revolver. Construction milled steel metal. Cal. .357 Mag, .38 Special interchangably, 6 shot. Barrel is 2 1/2 inch Heavy one piece, with 5 groove 1:18.75 right hand rifling. Red ramp front, black blade adjustable rear sights. Hammer nose ignition. .265 serrated face trigger; .375 semi target hammer. Correct Pachmayr Grippers no logo. Weight 30.5 ounces. Finish brushed surface stainless with satin chrome hammer and trigger. Domicile was Borinquen Air Station jurisdiction, Cold War front line against Castro and the cartels. Surface detractions are moderate,  principally sight wear and faint scouring. We rate this 66 as Very Good, close to Excellent, 85% , but photos ought to suffice. We estimate fired fewer than 100 times. Minimal to moderate carbon and top strap blast. Bore and cylinder chambers are all bright and clean. Double action hammer travels 10 degrees on all six positions after timing; 30 degrees on Single Action, with 3 pound SA pull. No lateral play. Forcing cone gap measures .007. Cylinder has no lateral play whatsoever.        No CA MA Civilians.
