Item Description

Exact knife in the photos. Union Cutlery of Olean, NY, under contract to Shapleigh Hardware of St. Louis. Shapleigh / D-E logo / HDW Co. obverse tang stamp both blades. 1930s Production. Pattern number was B387. Carbon Steel Blades and Springs, with brass liners, nickel steel bolsters, and picked Bone Handle Panels. 4 1/4 inch main clip pattern blade; skinner or California Clip 3 3/4 in. secondary blade, down from its original 4 1/4. OAL opened 9 1/4 in; 5 1/4 closed. Well executed home made lead solder repairs to both handle panels. Moderate wear otherwise, flat sharpening and blade length / width loss. Late owner was a farmer, mechanic, and WWII veteran from North Mississippi, affidavit included. We rate Good Condition / Repaired blemishes. Photos ought to suffice. Good spring strength and excellent mechanism.
