Ruger Service Six .357 Bright Stainless 4” Revolver 1982 GP100 Ancestor Cold War

Exact revolver in photos. Ruger Service Six, 1972-1988. Southport CT Plant. 158-43000 range serial = 1982. Traditional double and single action hammer fired swingout revolver with transfer bar. Entirely steel construction. 4 inch standard barrel. Pinned black blade front sight, with fixed notch rear. 6 rounds .38 Special / .357 Magnum interchangeably. .312 smooth trigger, .300 serrated hammer. 9” length; 5” height; 1.5” cyl. dia.  35 oz empty. Correct Pachmayr Target grips. Polished surface stainless finish that we believe is original. By our poor memory, the 1981 handgun market spike had cooled enough by 1982 to warrant issuance of occasional polished stainless revolvers. Minimal surface wear, principally faint contact scours. We rate Very Good, close to Excellent, 85%, but photos ought to suffice. Domicile was Borinquen Air Station jurisdiction, front lines vs. Castro and cartels. Minimal carbon, we estimate fired fewer than 100 times. 20 degrees travel double action, 35 single with 4 1/4 # SA pull. .006 forcing cone gap. No lateral play. Not transferable to civilian residents of California or Massachusetts.
