This listing is for the exact box in the photos. From a local estate here in West Tennessee comes this red one piece factory Ruger Box, that a 4 inch barreled .357 Magnum Caliber Speed Six issued in some time in the early to mid 1970s, by our poor memory. Ruger did not label or serialize its inner boxes at the time, only the outer sleeve. The GS84 label on the box’s red end is original factory, and indicates that a 4 inch barreled Stainless Ruger Speed Six was shipped in the box, around 1975 by our estimate. Manufacturer was Sturm, Ruger & Co. of Southport, CT. Construction is factory label paper over cardboard box frame. Surface detractions are moderate, principally hammer spur contact damage at that position, which was almost always the case with the Six series double actions, and many of the single action Rugers that we opened during the previous 40 or 50 years. Apart from that mar, it shows edge wear, and fading to the color. We rate this box as Very Good Condition, but photos ought to suffice for our shoppers to check our grading for themselves. Interior measurements are 13 inches length, by 5 3/8 inches width, by 1 3/4 inches height. Inner spacer framework including the black stabilizer stud are included, as well as an original nox type hammer cover paper and cylinder spacer.
