This listing is for the exact revolver in the photos. Compared to most of its production mates, this is one of RG Industries simplest and best, the RG-31 Snub Revolver chambered in .38 Special Caliber. Type is traditional double and single action revolver. It loads and unloads by means of a screw pin; it is not a true swing out since it has no thumb latch of any kind. Parts manufacturer was Röhm Gesellschaft, GmbH, of Sontheim / Brenz, West Germany. Frame manufacturer, importer, assembler, and exclusive distributor was RG Industries of Miami. From its Q142000 range serial number, this RG31 was manufactured in 1981. Construction is Zamak Zinc alloy frame, sight rib, barrel shroud, and thumb latch with steel barrel, cylinder assembly, trigger, hammer, and internal parts, with brown polymer grips. Chambering is .38 Smith & Wesson Special Caliber, 5 round cylinder capacity. Cylinder is screw pin release swing out with pin as manual ejector, one brass at a time. Barrel is one piece pencil medium type, 2 inches. Sight is screw on, serrated blade front on solid rib, with frame integral fixed notch rear. Trigger is .195 inch smooth faced, with matching width serrated spur hammer. Double action trigger pull is smooth and consistent 11 pounds vicinity, cylinder times only on full trigger depression both in single and double action. Single action pull gauges 3 1/2 pounds. Lateral cylinder play is minimal with the trigger relaxed, but with the trigger fully depressed there is no lateral movement whatsoever. Dimensions are 6 3/4 inches length, 5 inches height, and 1 1/2 inches cylinder thickness. Weight empty is 28 ounces, centered at the trigger. Finish is brushed surface blued steel, with gloss black anodized alloy. Surface detractions are moderate, principally edge wear. We rate this revolver as Very Good Condition, 80 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. This revolver comes to us from its exclusive civilian owner here in West Tennessee.  Bore, chambers, and mechanism are all clean. Carbon deposits are minimal on the cylinder face and back strap.
