From our days of dealing with the Magees in Mississippi, and the Forgetts in New Jersey, 30 or 40 years ago, comes this solitary straggling Pietta Instruction manual for that company’s replica Civil War Era percussion revolvers. We estimate its publication as late 1980s. Publisher was Fabbrica d”Army F. Lli Pietta di Giuseppe & C. snc of Italy. Contents are 23 pages plus cover, of trilingual – English, French, and Italian – instructions on Pietta’s steel frame Percussion Revolvers, with pictorial section on each of the 1851 Navy, 1860 Army, the Paterson, the 1858 Remington, and the Le Mat. Dimensions are 4 1/2 by 8, black print on Butternut shade paper. Surface detractions are minimal, only a bit of stain and a dog ear on the back. Instructions for any of these revolvers is common and free on the internet, but lucky owners of one, especially with Pre-Millennial Date Codes, would have their prize’s collectability enhanced by this manual that will fit neatly into a Pietta or Navy Arms Box.
