Pair of 1960s Miniature Tennessee Toothpick Bowie Knives Hong Kong 1 with damaged handle
OUR #pkHKRIIL

Item Description

This listing is for the TWO knives in the photos. From a local West Tennessee estate collection comes this pair of tourist shop, miniature novelty knives patterned after the Bowies that we sometimes call, Tennessee Toothpicks. Manufacturer was simply one of the mills in Hong Kong. We estimate they were produced early 1960s, when automobile ownership and interstate travel hit its stride. Construction on both is one piece steel blade with guard secured by the handle panels. Handles are both platic, one with checkered surface brown and the other with imitation pearl. Note that the pearl knife’s left side handle panel is damaged. Its carbon steel blade bears to most age toning. Both measure only 3 3/4 inches overall length where the Case Bowie, for instance, measures 14 inches. These are 1/20 to 1/10 scale, then, by our estimate. We rate the brown handled specimen is Very Good Condition, and the white handled one as Fair, perhaps Good. We’re offering the pair for only $9.50 each, not sold separately. Own them both, for only $ 19.00.
