Item Description

This listing is for ONE Set of Grips. This listing is for the exact grips in the photos. Here is an earlier set of Pachmayr number SJC Compac grips without the medallion. Manufacturer was Pachmayr Gun Works of Los Angeles, and so marked. Since Pachmayr began putting their company Lion logo medallians in its grips around 1985, these were made prior to that date. Construction is one piece molded pliable black rubber, with classic checkered surface laterals and front finger groove. Screw is anodized black brass, with brass escutcheon nut and checkered surface black semi gloss rubber body. These grips will only fit a Smith & Wesson J Frame Revolver with round butt grip frame. All J Frames except for a few .22s made since the 1980s have round butts. That includes models 34, 36, 37, 38, 40, 42, 49, and the 3 and 6 prefix stainless and ultra light revolvers. Surface detractions are minimal. We rate them as Excellent Condition, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. These are period correct for Smith & Wesson Revolvers with letter J in their serial numbers, or 3 letter prefixes ranging from AAA to about ALC. They will enhance collectibility of nickel and stainless revolvers in that range.
