Kral / Tri Star Raptor Semi Auto shotgun. Manufacturer is Kral A.V. of Konya, Turkey.  Importer and warrantor is Tri Star Sporting Arms of North Kansas City, Missouri. Gas operated semi automatic shotgun, with Beretta 1200 / 303 type mechanism. 12 gauge, 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells interchangeably. Like its Italian ancestors, the Raptor will require a break-in period before it will cycle light load shells. Steel barrel, bolt, magazine, return mechanism and internal parts built into an alloy receiver with fiber reinforced black graphite stock and forend. 28 inch barrel with 3 Beretta Mobil Choke type tubes. Bore is chrome lined. Tubes included are .676, single slash Full; .696 three slash Modified; and .708 four slash Improved Cylinder. Sight system is .313 width serrated top, 7 post Ventilated Rib that sits .255 inch above the barrel at the forend. Front sight is red fiber optic mated to the serrated receiver top; receiver also has grooves capable of accepting other sighting devices. Magazine is 5 shot, with removable 2 shot adapter. Capacity, then, is 5 + 1, with similar placement capabilities and operation of the shell carrier to the Beretta parent guns.  Trigger is .265 smooth faced; the photo specimen pulled at 6 pounds with moderate felt creep and overtravel. Safety is set for right handed shooters, push button behind the trigger. Stock drop is 1 3/8 by 2 1/4 inches, with a 1 inch right hand cast. Length of  pull is 14 1/4 inches from the trigger face to the end of the 1 inch recoil pad. Shims are available from Tristar’s excellent service department.Forend lowers and lower laterals have stippled surfaces, as do the wrist or pistol grip area on the buttstock. Note the sling swivels in the buttstock and forend cap. Overall length is 48 1/4 inches. Weight empty is 7 pounds 4 ounces, centered at the chamber. Finish is matte black. Each Raptor comes in its factory box with total of 3 choke tubes, Mickey type choke tube wrench, protective papers, break-in advisory sticker, and instruction manual.
