This is Kel-Tec’s all new Second Generation Sub-2K9 Carbine that accepts any magazine that will work in a Glock 17 model Pistol. Manufacturer and warrantor is Kel-Tec CNC of Cocoa, FL. Factory number is SUB2KGLK17BGRNHCor 00424. Steel barrel, bolt, stock center / mainspring assembly, and internal parts, built into a polymer receiver and forend group. Semi automatic carbine. Chambering is for Brass Cased only 9mm Luger, 9mm Parabellum, 9x19, call it what you will, THE 9mm. This Carbine is Not designed for aluminum cased CCI Blazer ammunition; neither is it designed for steel case cartridges. Barrel is 16 inch, six groove right hand 1:10 rifling. Muzzle is hex collared for front sight retention, with 3/8 inch of 1/4 x 28 threads and removable thread protector in place. Sights are shielded AR15 type post front that is elevation adjustable, with windage adjustable folding aperture or ghost ring rear. Forend is vented laterally, with 17 slot Picatinny verticals. Folded position length is only 16 inches, the mandatory Federal requirement for carbine barrels; and whose folded height is only 7 1/4 inches. Weight empty is 4 pounds 7 ounces. Action is blowback, not locked breech, so an operator should avoid steel and aluminum cased ammunition. Magazine is a factory Magpul P-Mag15 rounder. This is a 2nd Generation Sub 2000, but it cannot be modified for any other magazines besides a Glock 17, or extended capacity Glock 17. Safety is side mounted and reversible for southpaws. Trigger guard is the action release, or folder release. Buttstock tube contains the carbine's bolt and return spring; and its length of pull measures 13 inches. Finish is brushed surface blued steel, with anodized alloy black front sight, black polymer release levers, fitted into an OD Green Polymer receiver and forend assembly. Each Sub 2000 comes in its factory box with decals, magazine flyer, one 17 round P-Mag, and instruction manual that includes statement of limited lifetime warranty.
