Project Jay Scott Imitation Pearl Grips for Smith & Wesson J Frame Round Butt Chief’s Special 1960s Laminate Aged Yellow with Repairs

This listing is for the exact grips in the photos. From executive security service during the Cold War comes this set of well aged imitation pearl / laminate grips to fit Smith & Wesson round J frame revolvers. Manufacturer was Jay Scott Armarc® Grip Company of Elmwood Park, NJ. Exclusive national distributor was Colt Firearms. By our poor memory, Jay Scott had its heyday from the mid 1960s until the mid 1980s. Parent Revolver on these was circa 1970 Chief’s Special.  Construction is hard polymer onto laminated wood. Screw is chrome plated steel, with brass escutcheon nut. These grips will only fit a Smith & Wesson J Frame Revolver with round butt grip frame. Contemporary S&W models included the round butt variants of models 30, 31, 33, 34, 36, 37, 38, 40, 42, 49, 60, and 63. These will NOT fit a square butt revolver of any frame size. Note the small upper edge repair on the right panel, and the upper area hairline crack on the left panel. Apart from those, Surface wear amounts to surface dulling, but at the same time, attractive aging, yellowing to the imitation pearl.
