This listing is for ONE barrel. All of us honor the late Mr. Bill Goforth for his work on Iver Johnson History. Barrel in the photos comes from an Iver Johnson Sealed 8 Revolver, .22 Long Rifle Caliber with 6 inch round barrel. From its M18000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 1949 or 1950. Surface detractions are extensive; as the photos show, there is perhaps 20 percent superficial etchiness or surface pitting, complemented by brown patina and gun metal gray. Bore, however, is quite nice with no detractions. Front sight is original dovetailed blade and full and stable. Note that the threads are somewhat flattened from removal from the frame. Manufacturer, or course, was Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works, Fitchburg, MA, and one of our photos shows the top strap marking, I.J.A.& C. Wks / Fitchburg, Mass. U.S.A. It will fit both models of Sealed 8 Revolver, as well as the model 55 Cadet series, so long as they are chambered for .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle caliber cartridges. The revolver itself was Not designed for hyper velocity ammunition like CCI Stinger, Remington Viper, Winchester X-Pediter or Aguila Super Max. This barrel will not fit any other revolver besides an Iver Johnson. As with any firearm part, a person should have a competent gunsmith install it and check its tolerances. We are neither competent nor gunsmiths. These barrels are not easy to come by. We robbed the revolver to get it. We’re offering this genuine Iver Johnson barrel for only $ 39.00. We will include the original frame at no extra charge, but buyer will need to pay $15 for shipping and plan on a transfer fee unless he or she holds a C&R license. Frame is transferable to civilian residents of California as a federal status Curio and Relic. Frame is Not transferable to civilian residents of Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, or New York.
