Item Description

This listing is for the exact Sword in the photos. From a local Tupelo area collection comes this striking German Imperial court or presentation sword. Manufacturer was Lorenz Stanko of Munich, and so marked. We estimate this sword was manufactured and issued or presented between 1900 and the commencement of World War I, Imperial Germany, likely under Kaiser Wilhelm’s administration. Construction is chrome steel, with ornate silver plated handle and guard material, that includes genuine Mother of Pearl handle panels. Blade has blued steel sections alternating with gold plated inlays, very attractively assembled. Blade has martial and artillery motifs, with In Treue Fest, English Steadfast and True. Scabbard is wood lined metal body with nickel plated upper and point piece. Note that the tip of the scabbard is split and the blade point protrudes. Blade length is 31 inches; overall length is 36 inches. Surface detractions are minimal, principally light scouring and light toning to the metal. We rate this sword as Excellent Condition, 90 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. We see very similar swords advertised for upwards of $10,000. We’re offering the German estate piece in the photos, however, for only $ 939.00.
