Item Description

This listing is for ONE barrel. From its life time here in West Tennessee comes this original factory barrel complete with its locking collar, front sight, and pinned in magazine tube bracket. Manufacturer was H.W. Cooey Machine and Arms of Cobourg, Ontario. Parent rifle was manufactured in 1972. Importer and exclusive distributor was Winchester Olin Corp of New Haven, CT. Construction is entirely steel. Length is 20 inches from muzzle to barrel mouth, 21 oal. Front sight is factory steel with brass tip; Magazine tube bracket is pinned into the lug. Bore is six groove right hand 1:16 rifling. This barrel will fit Winchester Cooey 190, 290, and 490 series rifles, but only those chambered for .22 Long Rifle. It will not accept a magnum caliber cartridge. Finish is brughed surface blued steel. Surface detractions are minimal to moderate, principally only locking residue near the chamber where the collar goes into position. We rate it as Very Good Condition, perhaps even Excellent, 85 to 90 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves.
