E.
Bruckmann Mann Medium Senator 1950s Pen Pocket Knife Horn Handles

            Exact
Knife in photos. E. Bruckmann, Solingen, Germany manufacturer. Main spear
pattern blade’s obverse tang is stamped with company logo / Mann; its reverse
tang has Rost / frei.  Pen blade obverse
tang is stamped E. / Oligs / Solingen. We estimate early 1950s production, from
a firm that existed from the 1860s until the 1950s. Brückmann produced premium
grade cutlery  whose fit and finish was
on a par with later competitors Bertram, Schleiper, and Voss. Medium sized
equal end Pen Knife on the US style of the Senator pattern, or Office Knife
pattern. Stainless steel blades and backsprings; brass liners and pins. Genuine
Horn handle panels. 2 11/16 inch main Spear pattern blade; 1 11/16  pen blade; 3 5/16 inches oal closed.
Negligible wear, never used or sharpened. We rate it Near Mint, but photos
ought to suffice. Domicile was a knife shop in the Jewish quarter of Jerusalem,
of all places, where we bought it in 1975.
