Bruckmann Mann Medium Scout Utility 1950s Pocket Knife Scissors Horn Handles

 

Exact
Knife in photos. E. Bruckmann, Solingen, Germany manufacturer. Three blades,
including scissors feature. Main spear pattern blade’s and pen blade’s obverse
tangs are stamped with company logo / Mann. Reverse spear tang is stamped E.
Brückmann / Solingen / Germany. Scissors not stamped. We estimate early 1950s
production, from a firm that existed from the 1860s until the 1950s. Medium
sized equal end Scout or Utility Knife on the US style of the Senator pattern.
Carbon steel blades, backsprings, liners, and pins. Genuine horn handle panels.
2 5/8 inch main Spear pattern blade; matching 2 5/8 scissors with its own
backspring; and 1 3/4  pen blade that
shares a backspring with the spear blade. 3 5/16 inches oal closed. Negligible
wear, never used or sharpened. We rate it Near Mint, but photos ought to
suffice. Domicile was a knife shop in the Jewish quarter of Jerusalem, of all
places, where we bought it in 1975.
