Demilled Non Firing Factory Sig Sauer Barrel for P6 P225 Pistol German Police Trainers ca 1970s
OUR #XBP6D

Item Description

Please note that each barrel has been deliberately and thoroughly demilled; that is, rendered incapable of firing. This listing is for ONE Barrel. This is our # XBP6D. For reasons incomprehensible to us, then, the West German police rendered a few hundred of their Sig Sauer P6, or old model P225, service pistols useless, and used them for dry firing exercises in training new recuits. Original manufacturer of these barrels was Sig Sauer, gmbh, of Eckenforde, Germany, attest their markings. No Sig Sauer personnel, however, participated in the butchery of these works of art, nor even any Waffenmeister of the German Police could be so abusive. Chambers are drilled completely through at least twice, and then the bore and chamber are filled with steel welded into place. Construction is entirely steel, even the plug material will anchor a magnet. These barrels will fit into a P6 or old model P225 Sig Sauer on a drop in basis, if a person wants a dummy barrel. Models P228 and P229 will require fitting. There is no way these can ever fire a cartridge. We offer these, however, as a souvenir or nostalgic reminder of Cold War Germany. Own one for only $ 11.00.
