Exact Colt Cobra revolver in the photos. 145000LW  range serial = 1964.  Double / single action revolver, hammer nose ignition with internal hammer block. Steel barrel, cylinder, trigger, hammer and parts built into an alloy frame, with period correct black pearlite grips. Long butt small D frame. 6 rounds .38 Special, Not for +P. 2 inch Barrel. Serrated blade front and fixed notch rear sights. .225 serrated trigger with matching hammer.  1.40” cylinder dia.; 6 3/4 “ length; 4 1/4 height; weight 22.6 oz. empty. Cylinder times correctly all six; single action pull is 4 1/8 #. No lateral cylinder play. .005 forcing cone gap.  Minimal carbon. We estimate fired fewer than 50 times. Bore, cylinder chambers, and mechanism are all bright and clean. Finish is polished surface nickel plated, with serrated frame sight area. Grips are Colt licensed Jay Scott / Armark imitation laminated black pearl. Domicile was Ramey Air Force Base jurisdiction, front line Cold War territory vs castro and the cartels. Surface detractions are moderate, lateral and backstrap finish weakness at places.
