Exact revolver in photos. Colt Police Positive, fondly called El Pequeño en Latinoamérica. Colt’s Pt. F.A. Mfg. Co., Hartford, CT. right side barrel; . Left side barrel reads Police Special /  .38 Special Ctg.  394000 range serial = 1931. Federal service throughout its career. As it issued, still chambered in .38 NP caliber = .38 S&W; rebarreled at some point in the 1950s under Ramey AFB service with a .38 Special Barrel that did not affect its chambering.  Double action only revolver with transfer bar and with hammer nose ignition. Steel construction with factory walnut grips 4 inch barrel, blade front and fixed notch rear sight. 6 rounds .38 S&W caliber ammunition, will Not chamber .38 Special. 8 1/2” L x 4 1/2” H x 1.34” cyl. dia. 20.2 oz empty. Brushed surface nickel finish / refinish including trigger and hammer. .240serrated face trigger with matching hammer. Domicile was Ramey Air Force Base jurisdiction, front line territory vs. castro and the cartels. Moderate detractions, principally exposure wear to the grip frame and hammer spur. We rate Very Good, 85% vicinity, but photos ought to suffice. Minimal carbon, we estimate fired fewer than 50 times. No lateral cylinder play; 3 7/8 # single action pull; .003 forcing cone gap. Historic and eminently serviceable. Transferable to C&Rs and to eligible California civilians as a relic. No non-C&R MA civilians.
