This listing is for the exact knife in the photos. From years of storage comes thissomewhat rare replica of the Case XX Grandaddy Barlow Pocket Knife. Manufacturer and warrantor was Edge Mark Cutlery of Solingen, Germany. Actual Production date was Reagan Era, perhaps as late as 1990. Importer was most likely Taylor Cutlery of Kingsport, TN. Construction is entirely chrome vanadium carbon steel metal with genuine bone handle panels. Pattern is Barlow type 1 Blade Jack Knife. Overall length closed is 5 inches; clip pattern blade measures 3 15/16 inches from heel to point. Its principal departure from the original Case Grandaddy Barlow is the scalloped design pull groove, where the original Cases were smooth pull for the operator's thumb nail. Weight is 104 grams. Finish is polished surface metal, and polished surface panels. Markings are correct replica Circle C Case / Tested XX on the obverse tang. Surface detractions are minimal, only faint color toning that also belies its German production, duller and more gray than the US Made originals. This knife is otherwise faithful to the originals. It is a quality made knife, collectable in its own right.
