This listing is for the exact box in the photos. From a long past trade comes this worn but decent box to fit a Browning model 1885 Single Shot Rifle. Manufacturer was Browning Arms of Morgan, UT, and its contractors. Label indicated, Made in Japan; we are not privy to Browning and Miroku box production. This box was manufactured in 1991, attest its NZ date code. Construction is two piece cardboard over styrofoam insert. Exterior dimensions are 46 3/8 inches length by 7 7/8 inches width by 3 inches thickness. Interior dimensions will be only slightly less; and foam insert is specifically designed for recent production Browning or Winchester 1885 rifles. Foam is recessed for Rear Sight, Front Sight, Tang Sight, Swivels, acccessory tube, and instruction manual. Included are the original rifle’s protective plastic bag and barrel protective Nox paper. Note that there is no upper styrofoam lid liner. Surface detractions are moderate, principally pressure indentation on the lid portion overall, conspicuous on the label end. Note the old tape repair above the label. Apart from those, it has occasional moderate wear sights. We rate this box as Very Good Condition, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Shipping dimensions will be 47 by 8 by 4 by 3 pounds.
