This is Armscor / Rock Island’s 1911A1 GI, a pistol that comes as close as any to an authentic World War II Colt. Designer was John Moses Browning of Ogden, Utah. Manufacturer is Arms Corporation of the Philippines in Manila, in business since 1905. Importer and warrantor is Armscor Precision Inc. of Pahrump, NV. Construction is entirely steel metal, including the mainspring housing. Chambering is 9mm Luger caliber. Barrel is conventional 5 inch 1:16 Left Hand twist six groove rifling. Sights are stake on front and dovetailed rear, standard black profile. Trigger is .240 serrated face. Photo specimen pulled two stage at 5 1/4 pounds with minimal felt creep.  Hammer is traditional serrated spur .270 Government type. This Armscor is series 70 type and does not have a firing pin safety. Grip safety and main safety are Colt type, for right handed shooters. Magazine is factory issue 10 shot Check-Mate, so 10 + 1 fully loaded capacity. Finish is an even black military parkerized finish, with blued magazine, barrel bushing and barrel surface, except for the white chamber, ramp, and hood. Grips are GI type RIA black polymer. Each Armscor comes in its factory padded hard shell case with instruction manual, hang tag, protective papers, chamber protector, fired brass envelope, factory registration papers, and Regal CA Compliant cable lock. It comes furnished with a total of one 10 shot stainless steel magazine.
