American Derringer M1 .357 Magnum Stainless & Walnut VG ca 1996

This listing is for the exact derringer in the photos. Here is serviceable, collectable specimen of the original American Derringer. Manufacturer was American Derringer Corp. of Waco. 46000 range serial = 1996/7 production.  Entirely steel metal with walnut grips. Type is over and under derringer. Chambering is .38 Special and .357 Magnum, interchangeably. Capacity is 2 rounds. Barrel is 3 inches with six groove 1:18 right hand rifling. Sights are barrel integral blade front and fixed notch rear. Action is break up with top pivot, and release lever positioned on the right side of the frame. Ignition is floating hammer face against floating firing pin. Barrel selection alternates of its own accord with four leaf sear mechanism. Safety mechanism is left side hammer block, that releases upon cocking. Trigger is .264 smooth faced with .281 serrated spur hammer. Cocking motion is approximately 15 pounds over a sixty degree area. Action is single action only, with 5 1/4 pounds trigger pull and minimal felt creep. Ejector is one piece, left side manual type. Dimensions are 5 1/8 inches length; 4 3/8 inches height; .702 barrels diameter, .995 frame diameter, and 1.30 inches grip diameter. Weight empty is 16.3 oz. Finish is polished stainless, with oil finish grips. This Bond comes from a retail store liquidation in Michigan. Moderate surface detractions, faint lateral streaking with similar faint mars on the grip panels. We rate it as Very Good, close to Excellent, 85% vicinity, but photos ought to suffice. Bore, chambers and mechanism are all clean. We estimate fired fewer than 50 times.            Not transferable to civilian residents of California, D.C., Chicago Cook County IL, MA, or MD.
