Here is an original factory Instructions for Use, Parts List, Maintenance, and specifications manual for the .38 Bodyguard Revolver, numbered model 49. Manufacturer and printer is Smith & Wesson of Springfield, MA. Construction is a single 11 x 14 sheet folded in hex fashion, down to 3 3/4 by 7 dimensions for placement into a two piece blue box, such as Smith & Wesson Revolvers were shipped in from the 1960s until the 1980s. Printing is black ink on white paper. This particular manual is stamped, Revision of 10/78, so between 1978 and 1984. Surface detractions are minimal, principally age toning.
