This listing is for the two exact silver bars in the photos. From a local estate collection in nearby Shelby County, Memphis Area, comes this pair of attractive silver bars commemorating the City of Corinth, Mississippi, and its 1973 and 1979 Jubilee Celebrations. 1973 Coin’s Reverse engraving is the Curlee House, General’s Headquarters in 1862 Civil War campaigns of Shiloh and Corinth; 1979 Reverse has Battery Robinette, site of Battle of Corinth in November of that year. Composition of each bar is 1 Troy Ounce of .999 fine Silver, so marked on the rim. Bar dimensions are 1 1/8 inches by 3/4 inch by 1/16 inch thickness. Obverse lettering reads Corinth-Alcorn MS Area, Cross Roads Jubilee 73 and 79 arranged on the then-current Battle Flag type State Flag; with dates from each year’s celebration. Surface detractions are negligible, only a recent finger smudge, as the photos show. Both are uncirculated. We’re offering them as a pair for only $49 each, not sold separately. The darkened coin is one of the original committee member’s mint samples, struck in pewter with no silver content. We are including it at no charge. Own all three coins for only $98.00.
