This listing is for the exact knife in the photos.Here is a well made descendant of Camillus’s wartime production knives, usually called an M2. Manufacturer was Camillus Cutlery of New York, and so marked. Tang stamp is final type, initiated in 1989, about the time that we acquired this knife. Type is fixed blade combat knife. Construction is carbon steel blade and frame assembly, with steel guard and grip cap; and with genuine leather handle materia. Scabbard is factory original four piece leather with metal brads, cotton stitching, and brass handle snap. Overall length is 12 inches, with 6 7/8 inch blade proper. Weight is 11 ounces, balanced just behind the guard. Finish is parkerized blade with matching guard and cap. Scabbard snaps are black finish. Surface detractions are minimal on the knife itself, with toning on the guard and cap, and with light edge wear on the blade. Scabbard shows edge wear and point protrusion near its point area. We rate this knife as Very Good Condition, perhaps even Excellent, 85 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Original World War II ancestors command prices upwards of $1000 for this class of knife. We’re offering the 1989 specimen, however, for close to 90 percent off those prices.
