From file storage four decades ago comes this factory Marlin Owner’s Manual for the Model 1894S Lever Action Rifle chambered in .357 Remington Magnum caliber. Publisher was Marlin Firearms, 100 Kenna Drive, North Haven, CT. Publication date of August 1991 is printed on the back cover. Contents are 9 pages of black, white, and red print in a 5 3/8 by 8 1/2 Booklet. Note that the factory registration card is still intact on the right half of the front cover. Surface detractions on this manual are minimal, very faint age toning. We rate it as Excellent Condition. It is correct for 1894S .357 Rifles produced from 1991 until 2007, when Marlin dissolved into Remington. It is correct enough for 1894S rifles of all calibers, made from 1986, when the Marlin engineers first installed the cross receiver hammer block safety device that supplemented the lever safety, until 2007. 1894S owners simply wanting instructions can avail themselves of free downloads or videos on the internet. Owners, however, whose rifles date between 1991 and 2007, and who lack original documents, will find this manual enhances their prize’s collectability significantly.
