Exact revolver in the photos: Smith & Wesson .357 Combat Magnum Stainless, numbered model 66, original variant, no suffix. 4K700 range number 1972 Bangor Punta. Traditional double and single action, medium frame revolver; Construction is entirely milled steel metal. Chambering .38 Special and .357 Magnum, 6 round capacity. Barrel is 4 inch Heavy one piece, with 5 groove 1:18.75 right hand rifling, pinned into the frame. Sights are serrated ramp front on solid rib; rear sight is correct adjustable black blade. Trigger .265 serrated face, .375 semi target hammer. Grips are period correct Pachmayr SK/S with no medallion. Finish is brushed surface, similar to original, with Satin Chrome hammer and trigger. Surface detractions are moderate, principally edge wear residuals. We rate this 66 as Very Good, 85%, but photos ought to suffice. It served in the jurisdictional domicile of Ramey Air Force Base against Castro and the Cartels. We estimate it was fired fewer than 100 times. Carbon and blast effect are minimal. Bore and cylinder chambers are all bright and clean. Hammer travels 15 degrees double action; 30 single. Single action trigger pull gauges a crisp 3 pounds. Forcing cone gap is .002. No lateral play.
