Buyers will receive one of the 3 boxes in the photos. This listing is for ONE Blue Smith & Wesson Factory Box. 3 was all we had at press time on this ad. Here is one of Smith & Wesson’s first forays with its blue plastic boxes that made their debut around 1996, for that company’s economic and popular Sigma series pistols. Manufacturer is Smith & Wesson of Springfield, MA, and its subcontractors. Construction is medium thickness plastic, two piece body with integral molded full length hinge. Locking clasps integral to the handle portion, which also has a padlock aperture for medium security. Interior has form fitting molded spine points that match the SW9 and SW40 pistols that were produced from 1994 until 2012, as well as their SD9 successors. Those happen to be dimensionally similar to Smith & Wesson’s M&P 9 and M&P 40, so these boxes will fit those variants as well, including their compact versions. Interior even allows for replacement grip frame pieces on the M&Ps. External dimensions are 10 1/4 inches x 7 1/4 inches x 2 3/8 inches. Interior width only allows for 5 3/8 inches of height, from butt to rear sight top. Body coloration is Royal blue, with Smith & Wesson stylized logo on the lid exterior, and with safety warnings molded into the body interior on both halves. These boxes came to us from a Department Trade, we do not believe they were ever issued, just used to turn in the new pistols. No instruction manual, lock, firearm, magazine, or any other items are included, just the box itself. Condition is Excellent. These are correct for any Sigma Series SW9 or SW40, all variants. They are acceptable for SD9, SD40, and M&Ps, even the M&P 22s. We’re offering the Smith & Wesson Flat Blue Boxes in the photos each for only $ 39.00.
