Colt .38 Spl Detective Special 3” Nickel 1971 C&R CA OK Revolver AFB Marked

Exact revolver in the photos. Colt’s Pt. F.A. Mfg. Co. / Hartford, Conn. U.S.A. mfg mark.  B36000  range serial = 1971.  Double / single action revolver, hammer nose ignition with internal hammer block. Steel metal, period correct Rogers polymer combat grips.  6 rounds .38 Special, Not for +P. Barrel is 3 inch standard tapered. Serrated blade front and fixed notch rear sights. .225 smooth trigger with matching hammer.   1.40” cylinder dia.; 7 1/2 in length; 4 1/4 height; weight 22.3 oz. empty. Cylinder times correctly all six; single action pull is 4 1/2 #. No lateral cylinder play. .007 forcing cone gap. Minimal carbon,we estimate fired fewer than 100 times. Bore, cylinder chambers, and mechanism are all bright and clean. Finish is polished surface nickel, with serrated frame sight area. This revolver served  in Ramey Air Force Base’s jurisdiction, front lines vs. castro and the cartels, attes its squadron markings left side frame, underneath barrel, and under top strap. Surface detractions otherwise moderate, principally mars and brown freckles ejector rod end, cylinder edge and grip frame. We rate it Very Good, 80 percentvicinity, but photos ought to suffice. Transferable to C&Rs and CA Civilians, no MA non-C&R civilians.
