A few years back, Glock billed one of their subcompacts as a Pocket Rocket. Here is the Saturn V of pocket rockets, the Glock Model 29 chambered in 10mm. Manufacturer and warrrantor is Glock, Inc. of Smyrna, Georgia. Factory order number is PF2950201, Short Frame variant. Construction is steel slide, barrel, and internal parts all assembled into a durable high impact polymer frame. Type is double action only, striker fired semi automatic pistol. Barrel is 3.78 inch, hexagonal right hand twist 1:9.78. Chambering is 10mm Auto, and Glocks use Jacketed ammunition in that caliber. Each 29 comes furnished with a total of two ten round magazines, so fully loaded capacity is 10+1. Slide is black tennifer finish, same as the barrel. Sights are stake on dot type front and matching dovetailed white outline rear, U-dot configuration; and the rear sight is drift adjustable only for windage. Glocks are point of aim from the factory. Safety system is firing pin safety and trigger safety; if a Glock is loaded, keep your firing finger off the trigger until you’re ready to fire. Trigger pull is two stage 5 1/2 pound, with 1/2 inch of travel distance. Weight empty is 24.7 ounces, with center of gravity at the trigger. Overall length is 6 7/8 inches from muzzle to grip frame strut; 4 1/4 inches high from the top of the rear sight to the bottom of an in-battery flat plate magazine. Slide thickness is 1.12 inch at the ejection port. Each new Glock comes with a total of two factory magazines, a loading tool, instruction manual, California Compliant Cable lock, factory registration papers, and fired brass envelope.
